Nautilus

The regular catalog version of the Nautilus (which has technically now been discontinued) has seen a historical jump in price, since its listed price is 4 million yen but it actually retails for more than 20-25 million yen, so I’m wondering how the next generation of the 5711 model will fare.

There are rumors that is will be based off of the 3-handed 6711 model, but I wonder if the exterior will get an update. Many are wondering if the movement will change, but the biggest focus within the market is whether it will be steel and 3-handed (a continuation after the 5711). If it was the old Patek Philippe, switching out the steel for gold might be conceivable, but the current Patek Philippe might just continue with a straightforward design from the start. Looks like we’re still being left with a lot of questions, including the starting price of this model.

During the Grand Exhibition Tokyo event, which was postponed to 2023, it’s unclear whether a Japan exclusive model of the Nautilus will appear. I’ve got my fingers crossed. 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the Nautilus series after all. I’m sure the age of the Nautilus will continue yet.
