It finally seems as if the new model G-class will be unveiled at the Detroit show in January, 2018, or at the next Geneva show. The G500 and G63 will be announced there, with G350d most likely falling behind schedule.

It seems as if the the new model is scheduled to arrive at dealerships around May, pulled together with the last of the current limited cars from the end of this year. Even though it seems okay in terms of design, the size being one of the big reasons why Gerende were so popular in Japan (including the way it handles, of course) is missing in the new model, but I’m really looking forward to finding out what kind of appeal will appear instead.
