Kon Ichikawa & The Inugamis

I only ever thought of ‘The Inugamis’ as a scary movie that I saw as a child. I wasn't able to recognise it's strangeness when I watched it originally, a style that's referred to in Evangelion (I was only a child, after all) In fact, I thought that I might not understand the essential charm even now so picked up​ ​This book​ ​
A careful description. Strangely, I want to re-watch it as it's is said to be much trashier than ‘Morioka Sisters’ which came out before. I feel a bit uncomfortable with the book’s expression “the Human pillar of the Japanese film industry”​ ​
but the conversation with actor Koji Ishizawa is interesting nonetheless.
