It was about 20 years ago. I learned about the Rwanda massacre from Tetsuya Chikushi’s news programme. At the same time as the genocide in Sierra Leone. Ever since then, Africa has always been on my mind, watching documentaries and reading books.
First from this book, which makes for a really shocking read.

It enabled me to understand the full horror of this genocide.

Factually it’s very clear, and as a drama it’s really well made.
