The front end of the bonnet becomes a single louvered air-intake, yet this is merged with the front edge of the retractable headlights. The front edge of the light are painted black to match the louvred in-take, and once closed fit seamlessly.

Since the louvre part is black, as this images shows, it suits the grey body colour.

Of course, it is different throughout the world, but I think it was great in many ways, one reason being that Porsche debuted the 964 in 1989.
