Rumor has it that the Daytona reference 6262 owned by actor Paul Newman will appear at Sotheby's in December.

The case is 6262, but for some reason it has a silver replacement dial (small red) for 6263/65.

 

This little-known 6262 was a gift of his personal belongings to stuntman and racing buddy Stan Barrett, who stood in for him in several films. After that, Mr. Barrett has owned it for a long time, and it seems that it became an exhibition this time.

It seems that this individual is expected to fetch around 600,000 dollars at a successful bid. It's a bit disappointing that the replacement dial (and the case and dial don't match) is good because it's this kind of watch that's in poor condition.
