RANGE ROVER
The design feature of the Range Rover (VOGUE today) has long been famous for its floating roof. By blacking out the ABC pillars, only the body-colored roof looks "floating". That's true (though it doesn't work if the body is black or the roof is black).
But in fact, I think the more important design feature is that the glass is long in the vertical direction (that is, in the vertical direction) and the glass area in the side view is large. This is a big point that looks like a Range Rover, but as you can see from the image below, the glass area is getting smaller and smaller as it becomes a new model. This probably means that "it doesn't look modern unless the glass is made smaller." Conversely, if the glass area remains large, it will definitely look old-fashioned (I think there are also side collision safety conditions).
And one more point. The roofline, which was horizontal to the ground, is also slightly lowered as it is renewed. If you look at the current model, you can see that it is really skillfully lowered the rear of the roof just a little bit so that it is not noticed. This is probably the last-minute line that doesn't destroy the atmosphere.
When this becomes another model (Velar), the glass will be so thin up and down. Of course, this still looks like a range family, but after all the so-called "range feeling" that has an outdoor meaning is diminished. This is probably the right direction for non-VOGUE models, as it provides futuristic modernity instead.
When thinking this way, the current model is aiming for a line that looks like a Range Rover, so the question is what will happen to the next model. As far as this latest scoop photo is seen, the glass area and roof shape seem to be a silhouette that somehow keeps VOGUE-likeness.
The vertical length of the rear glass also gives the impression that it is kept relatively, which is an impression that can be expected. The announcement seems to be this year, but the start of production seems to be delayed due to the situation in Corona. Delivery may be after 2022.
