THE FACE and fragment design put covers of the legendary culture magazine on T-shirts
A collaboration between the legendary London-born culture magazine THE FACE and the creative group fragment design, lead by Hiroshi Fujiwara, has been unveiled.
THE FACE was started in 1980 by Nick Logan, who was previously the editor of a music newspaper, and has grown into one of the UK's leading independent magazines, with an editorial style that makes no distinction between genre as it covers music, fashion, and culture in both established and street circles. The magazine is known for its editorial design and photography that vividly convey the culture scene, as well as its legendary cover story in the July 1990 issue, which launched the debut of Kate Moss at the age of 16.
In this collaboration with fragment design, Hiroshi Fujiwara picked out the most notable past covers of his most loved magazine. This line of T-shirts includes shirts with prints of covers featuring artists such as Sinéad O'Connor and Björk. In addition to T-shirts and bags with logo and typographical designs, all of the items above will be available at the Selfridges' online store in the UK from December 1st, and in Japan at TOKION's online store and TOKiON the STORE in Miyashita Park from December 12th.
