Since Tillmans is having a solo show at David Zwirner in Hong Kong I’ve come to see it, but the real highlight was the extra large photograph of the sea. All his works in the past few years became inkjet but I think it can be said the quality is just as good, even compared with the C-print era gloss prints produced up until now.

Although text placed on colour as work type seems to suggest one of his new forms of future abstraction, it still doesn’t feel as if it is surpassing what he did with ‘Freischwimmer’.
