‘Lexus Meets …’ the Lexus showroom is to open at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya.
I went to the preview opening, but this was interesting.
It doesn’t sell brand items as car dealers often do, but lifestyle products for people driving Lexus instead. The word Lifestyle product is something you hear over and over again, but this is a fairly decent approach.
There are not just luxury items like the Shinola watch, but Balmuda toasters and Vermicula rice cookers amongst other things.
Perhaps Lexus looks like it’s stocked up in the same refined way as a department store, but from a car side of things the approach feels new, and a proper test drive.
I wonder if Lexus showrooms become like this in the future. I expect they do.
