An Alpina Z8 model produced in small numbers has come up for auction.

After the production of normal Z8 stopped with 5,703 produced, only 555 of the Alpina model were produced with automatic transmission. Now 1 of 11 cars from that time with 9,480 miles on the clock are being sold by authorised dealership ‘Sytner’ in the UK.

There are a few imported cars in Japan as well, but I think quite a few in Japan come with the same interior and exterior colour. Yet the Alpina model is also characterised by not having a deco-line.

Except for the Z8, it certainly feels like there are more Alpina Blue Roadster in Japan than overseas.
