Vietnam Chan

‘Vietnam-Chan’ in Okubo.
It’s my first visit here to an area everyone is familiar with, and seems more delicious than its sister restaurant ‘Vietnaming’.
Although we try to make the necessary reservation for seafood ‘nabe’, it seems we’ve been told it is not possible as ingredients are out of season … disappointing.
By far the most delicious is the basic menu, including ’nama harumaki’ (Fresh spring rolls) and ‘age harumaki’ (Fried spring rolls). ‘Age-tofu( (fried tofu), stir-fried lemongrass, and beer swiftly follow. Fried Chicken with ‘kobu-mikan’ (citrus lime) is exquisite. I don’t eat as much elsewhere but here comes another dish, ’Bánh xèo’ (sizzling pancake). Way too delicious.
I want to come here often, but Okubo is a little difficult to come to.
Afterwards, we end up going to Shinjuku Ni-Chome for some delicious ‘mapo-dofu’ (tofu, chill and bean source).
