Titanium Nautilus?
Before the introduction of the new white gold Nautilus 5811/1G-001, enthusiasts expected the new Nautilus to be the titanium 6711/1T (and platinum 6711/1P). The date display has disappeared, it has changed from 40mm to 41mm, and the bracelet has a micro-adjustment function.

But in fact, as we all know, Patek Philippe has an 18K white gold exterior.Reference 5811/1Ghas been released. The basic shape is the same as the 5711/1A, but the size has been increased from 40mm to 41mm, and the thickness has been reduced by 0.1mm to 8.2mm. The case structure also returns to the same two-piece as the original 3700/1A.

After all, the new model is not titanium, and the date display will continue... Many expectations were completely wrong, but what about the rumor that "Nautilus will eventually change to a titanium case"?
Personally, I think there will be a Titanium Nautilus within a few years. We've released the Rolex Deepsea Titanium, and we'll be preparing it for Daytona as well. Titanium alloys are almost certainly the next trend in the industry. I think there is some debate as to whether titanium alloy is really more suitable for luxury watches than stainless steel, but at this point, it doesn't matter anymore. Watches are a business, and after all, the industry is looking for new materials. It's a new material, so it's a hot topic, and the list price can be higher than stainless steel. In that vein, if Rolex and Patek started mass-producing titanium watches at the same time (Daytona and Nautilus, for example), this would be a really big deal.
And when it becomes commonplace to use titanium instead of stainless steel for sports models... (this is another interesting thing about this world), the price of stainless steel models will likely rise. Is it something like "The 5711 has a classical atmosphere that has been lost in the 6711T..."? When that happens, some watches will be re-evaluated again, and the prices around 16520 and 116500LN are likely to change. There is also the possibility that the hand-wound Daytona will be further deified. In that sense, I think the trend toward titanium is worthy of attention.
