NIKE Blazer
“Something simple that I always go back to.”
That’s how Fujiwara describes Nike’s famous Blazers, which were released in 1972 as their first basketball shoes. Following up from last year, here are two pairs bought as part of his regular order this year. “On NIKE BY YOU,I just changed the colors, so nothing new compared to last year. There aren’t many nice color options lately, so this time I tried using green and greige.”
SEQUEL Black Denim & Underwear Sets
SEQUEL's rigid denim pants are characterized by their moderate thickness. "There aren't many black denims with a bit of give that look good. There are a lot of skinny denim looks, so the slightly thicker look on these is nice." These are already sold out online, so we’ll just have to pray for a restock.
As for the underwear set, he comments, “This makes up most of my underwear lately.” They’re being put to good use. When I note that women could also wear them, Fujiwara responds, “I wonder if that would work? Maybe as loungewear?” This underwear is sold in 2-piece sets that include a top and a bottom.
Loro Piana featuring Hiroshi Fujiwara Plain Knit Scarf
“I typically like scarves, so the Loro collection this season includes a lot of them. One of themresembles an old scarf of mine.”
This large flat-knitted scarf made with Loro Piana's fine cashmere features an impressive hand-knotted cashmere fringe. Even though pop-up shops are being held at various locations, please note that this item is only available online.
Bunney T-shirt
The front features drawings of rings and the back has the slogan “Best Make and Finest Finish.” Regarding this t-shirt designed by London-based jewelry brand Bunney, he comments “Andrew (the designer) sent me this cute t-shirt. Sometimes he sends knits or t-shirts, but this one is both cute and fashionable.” It’s one of his favorites.
Fujiwara is a longtime friend of 20 years with the designer,AndrewBunney. “He’s one of my good friends from way back. He used to love arm wrestling and participated in a tournament and broke his arm there. That’s just how he is.” He sounds a bit cheeky.
MABOROSHI KOURO #01
The “MABOROSHI” brand launched quietly in 2020. Its main product KOURO #01 is a collab item with designer Osamu Saruyama and Nagasaki Hasamiyaki-style pottery brand “Maruhiro.” The modern Japanese design matches well with any style of room.
"When you light a fire, the tea’s fragrant aroma spreads out instantly. The experience ends when the tea leaves turn brown and the candle burns out. There was a teashop beside my house when I was a child. It always smelled of roasted tea, so this is a nostalgic scent for me.”
KOURO #01 uses a blend of five types of tea leaves, and the scent changes over time. “I recommend getting a subscription, since that makes things easier when you run out.”
