We asked about the music production and roots from the music images recorded on the compilation CD.

HINOTO: I dreamed on the night of the day I played, and the content was that one of myself was standing by the sea and stood out.
There is always a moment when I feel the music in my daily life, and it is supposed that the melody left when I woke up from that dream was not in myself, but I remembered and entered it as it was.
Astonished by the scenery I've never seen in a dream, I was overwhelmed by the magnificence of nature. Relying on that image, thinking of the scenery that I don't usually care about or think of, I try to make it into a song.
The image is the sea, and since my parents have been surfing for a long time, I am often in the sea more than people, so it is one of the places where I can relax when I see it. The memories at that time seemed familiar and remained as images. The music was a lo-fi video image like the VHS of the 80's, and the sound image was finished with a rough texture.
■How do you usually make music?
HINOTO: Regarding production, I use KORG Gadget with Logic and smartphones, so there are plug-ins included, and I can use a smartphone to drive to some extent while moving, and then later into Logic. I sometimes package it with Logic or make it with my smartphone, so I'm doing it flexibly.
I don't usually have much consciousness, but sometimes I think when I'm not listening to music or when I'm not listening to music. I used to play drums from the beginning, and I started with rhythm patterns first, then thought about the chord progression and assembled them in my head, and sometimes connected things that came to my mind everyday.
When searching for a sound in your DAW, start by creating your favorite sound. This tone is as it is, but if you tweak here, it will be better. We are thinking about listening comfort and harshness. First of all, we are particular about the sound quality.

HINOTO: When I DJ, I fuse Showa pop songs, 80s city pop, house, etc. through my own filter, so such a nuisance element is at the core.
Because it is biting various places, it is reflected in the song, the glittering feeling of city pop and Showa Kayo, the deep rhythm feeling such as dub, and the fusion feeling of mixing various places such as house etc. , Pulling from a completely different place like a puzzle.
As roots, I think that it is not just one but in such a simmering feeling.
