A new work by French writer Pierre Lemaitre who recorded a worldwide hit in trilogy of “Irene” and “Alex”. Actually, however, it is a work written before Alex, and a translation was recently published in Japan.

The main character of the story who is unemployed reaches the final round of interviews at a large company, but the final test is extremely abnormal, and attacks, kidnaps and interrogates the companies board of directors. The setting is very original, and the basic structure where the narrator changes is quite interesting, but it does not go beyond the wonder of "Irene". I thought it would be more suitable visualized for film than a novel. Because the original French title is “Cadres noirs” (meaning Black Executive), the translation title (Inhuman Resources) may be a little subtle.
