Hiroshi Fujiwara “Slumbers” Tour 2018
Hiroshi Fujiwara’s 2018 tour began from Fukuoka ROOMS on Feb.11.
After releasing ‘Slumbers’ first new album in four years released last November Shunsuke Watanabe (Schroeder-Headz) who also served as album producer repeatedly heading for the keyboard, and seemed to have the entire stage under his control.
Two people provide the strong rhythm section, with tight drumming from Banchō, a member of both ‘Bagdad Cafe the Trench Town’ and ‘WONDERFUL BOYS’, and groove-filled bass from Jungo Miura, an active part of ‘PETROLZ’.
Snow flew over Fukuoka that night as the tour began, setting the night’s mellow mood.
It seems Hiroshi Fujiwara who held onto a Les Paul ‘Bob Marley’ model wanted a different tone during rehearsal with different guitars to hand.
Finally this week the stage moves to Sendai and Tokyo.
Also, merchandise items in collaboration with Neighbourhood make an appearance on this tour. T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts are on sale at each venue, and will be sold in limited numbers on the FarFetch website from February 27th.
Both will be on stage under the spotlight.
