When it is a chance for collaboration, it is a chance for different creative minds to come together and create something with their signature style. To me, the individual and unpredictable creativity of each mash-up is what makes collaborations beautiful and it is also this process of innovation that I enjoyed most.

Amongst the collaborations we have worked with in the past, HYPEBEAST x Dr. Martens 5-Eye Brogue in 2011, is one of the earliest, and perhaps the most memorable collaboration to me.

3989 5-Eye Brogue is a classic from the Dr. Martens archive. We went forth with an entirely tonal black colorway which boasts a classic DSP outsole. Adding to that, we had the broking embossed onto the shoes instead of the usual leather layers. Together With The Design And The Mat eri Al Choice Of Tan Leather, This Collaboration Has Given The 5-Eye Brogue A Touch Of Subtle But Timeless Class To Its' Name. It Was A Refined Work On A Classic Model, And Opened The Brand To more diverse and out-of-the-box styles.
