Editor on the Outside

Finished reading Kyoichi Tsuzuki’s ‘talks’ in Kindle .
In other words, I read all at once on the plane on my way to Europe.
When I was at college, I read what Tsuzuki said in ‘Brutus’ or somewhere, “In the morning I'm plagued by problems and hope to live to see sunshine as it springs forth”. Back then, working as an editor working at ‘Brutus’ through ‘Popeye’ was quite an achievement. Worried about someone like that. While I was surprised I was also encouraged regardless.
Rather than the book or the author’s topic of conversation being the interesting point, the candid advice he gives the publishing is in fact written from a light and gentle perspective instead of being him just complaining. Well, at least thats the impression I got turning pages.
Incidentally, Tsuzuki’s previous photo book was when I was also appointed as designer and working together with Ishiguro from ‘Illdozer’. He is completely on the outside! (laugh)
