Marimekko
This time I used a lot of public transport such as the metro.
It really helped as I wanted to move around the city quickly, despite there being Uber in every city.
I even went by metro to Helsinki’s Marimekko headquarters .
The employee cafeteria here is even open to the general public! And also features an outlet store.
In the cafeteria everyone has a tray and collects their own food side by side. I finally pay €10 at the till. I think I even saw a dish of something like a Nishin Cup Noodle (laugh). Flavours were rather Scandinavian, with a herb taste I can’t quite put my finger on.
Thankfully, wherever I go in Scandinavia, bread is strangely delicious. And even here, butter is fresh!
After food, it’s souvenir shopping in the outlet store. Japanese tourists often come ‘en masse’ by tour bus. With the female tour guide making the crucial mistake of saying “Please come back to the bus as quick as possible.” (laugh)
