Yobisamasareru Reisei-no-Shinsaigaku

The book became a real talking-point and recently picked up a copy. The first chapter is all about experiencing ghosts.
In short, this ‘spiritual’ remembrance gives back some self-control and sense of normality to daily lives and seems a necessary ‘function’ to re-seizing opportunity following disaster.
It’s an ever-present Folklore that inevitably reminds me of the story of Tono City (Iwate prefecture). But if meaning could be found within what creates the local area, I think an interesting theme for much of the book would be the experience of the paranormal.
Even though there are parts only devoted to student essays and hard to read at length, this book in itself is very interesting.
