In this recent political climate, some non-Americans have a hard time understanding the mind of the average American. I’m not saying I am supportive of the new political leadership in America, but what I do accept is that this country is made up of A LOT of different kinds of people. It’s what makes American great. And it’s what makes American kinda crazy too.
One easy indicator of this? Check out car sales in this country. Most people around the world understand why Camry’s, Prius’s, and Accord’s are market leaders. They’re compact, convenient, reliable and energy efficient. So some might be surprised to see car sale numbers in the US when it’s compared to trucks, pick ups, and SUVs.
The number one selling “car” in America (2015) is the Toyota Camry with 38,435 cars.  But now check out the number one selling “truck” in America is the Ford F-Series with 66,288!! Number two is the Chevrolet Silverado at 56,380 units. The number three Ram Pick Up just about equals the Toyota Camry at 36,019.
Looking at these stats, you can see there is a very different mentality than what you might be used to. Perception is one thing, but numbers don’t lie.
