Daiki and Kenta are back for their Engineered Garments exhibition, and also Yumiko Sakura is promoting her writing in TOKYO. They are indebted to me whenever in New York. So we were joined by Shimizu from Nepenthes at​ ​‘Akaoni’.​ ​Ishikawa (Marka) also joined us.
Then, I worked myself up to ask Shimizu the question, “how have you been able to deal Nike Air Revaderchi at REDWOOD SHOP?”, as it had been a complete mystery to me for a while.
In those days, Revaderchi had only put out REDWOOD , and as they were too expensive for me I bought them by mail order from REI for relatively little. It seems likely they were authorised by Nike when I though they could have been a parallel import. Probably because there were so many Nike REDWOOD fans. I was quite partial to them myself (laugh). Certainly, ‘Epic’ and ‘Wildwood’ models were also distributed. However, it was definitely unexpected!
Though I can’t wear them anymore, I still have those old Revaderchi—a revolutionary pair. Of course, occasionally I also wear the reissue version.
