5971P
The 5971P is the diamond-set version of Patek Philippe’s perpetual calendar chronograph 5970. The market price has stabilized, but several special models have also been confirmed before. The models not listed in catalogs were probably bought by highly loyal customers, but the watch has been out for ten years now, so some should be coming on the market soon. Lately, Nautilus sport models have been all the rage, so you could say that 5970/5971 models are still being undervalued.

First up are the gem-type special models. Five sapphire, five ruby, and ten emerald-set models are said to have been made.
The 5971P model with an emerald setting features a nice contrast with a black dial and green accents, so I’m sure it looks pretty flashy in person. The second hand comes in the normal white option.

This ruby-set 5971P seems like it’d be difficult to pair with a look. It’s probably something that would be in demand in the Middle East.

Then we have the sapphire bezel design, of which only five exist. Among these, there's also a custom piece with a blue dial.
REF 5971/11P-10 Sapphire
The custom piece with a blue dial. The lug is also set with sapphires.
In 2019, Sotheby's auctioned off an extremely rare white dial version. This model had been unknown until that time, and the seller was a collector from Asia. The normal model with a black dial has a white second hand, but this model features a black one.
