Witch Hazel
When I was in high school, I read Yoshio Kataoka’s essay that mentioned an all-purpose skin care product called ‘Witch Hazel’ that was also good for after-shaves and sunburn.
Now I always have a bottle ready in the washroom, and ever since the summer I use on my head, forehead, and neck, washing my face with it after shampooing. It feels fresh for ages.
I never forget to take it with me whenever I travel. I remember thinking that I’d need to put something like this in a smaller bottle. Yet, the mini 59ml ‘Witch Hazel’ bottle … well, just look how small it is compared with an iPhone 6s. It can be easily stored in a travel pouch and, of course, refilled from a larger bottle as well.
The thing is, I bought this in Japan. Maybe it’s Japan’s original size.
