Daytona Tiffany

When it comes to the non-Oyster steel made Tiffany model, the base basically becomes Ref.6239. Considered to be a world standard it’s said a few can be found in the pure gold Ref.6241/64 case, with no Tiffany model with the 6241 plastic bezel.

The original Tiffany model is extremely rare, and the number of them is definitely less than the PN. At first glance the ordinary model also looks good. Of course there are slight differences not to mention logo print, but I think many are raised slightly to the right rather than horizontal.

Because I was able to shoot four pieces this time, I will introduce them here.

To begin with, the small logo Ref.6239 Tiffany. With fonts from the ‘70s and ‘80s and after, the biggest attraction is that the Tiffany typeface is completely different. This piece was shown at Christie’s New York in 2016.

This second one is also a small logo Ref.6239, but was manufactured at a slightly different time from the one above, and the original 3Line dial print position l has shifted down. Since there is another Tiffany logo, it is printed tightly and really close together. The position of print is also raised here slightly to the right. The bracelet with a black dial looks strong.

And the third silver one here is based on the Jumbo. Overall lettering features a pyramidal arrangement since it gets longer with each subsequent row when it becomes Jumbo. Incidentally, a Tiffany comes in Ref.6241 when it becomes pure gold.

The fourth one here is the piece that was shot the other day at the auction in New York. This is basically the same type of dial as the third piece, but more aged, and was a piece that felt vintage.
