In the past it was necessary to cover the air sole with a layer of rubber to give added protection and improve durability, and now with the development of new technology the Vapormax air sole has successfully integrated the air bag with the outer layer of rubber. Since more air can be put directly in the sole, now that it can maintain a flexible shape, it makes a conventional form of midsole unnecessary.
By also combing an air sole with a Nike Flyknit upper, support is given to where it is needed while be able to further reduce the weight of the shoe.Nike Air Vapormax is available at​ ​NIKE.COM​ ​and scheduled to be released in select stores from March 26th.
