When I DJed in the ‘80s, I’d look for the original recordings to bootleg songs.
I secretly swapped a list of records I am looking for with foreign DJ friends.

If a different pattern used the same beat or phrase, I would just change the rpm and use it like so.

This ‘Ike’s mood’ is a normal pressing usually played at 33rpm, but I play it at 45rpm (around 1:40).
