While the first Ref.6239 model shows a remarkable rise in price, Ref.6265 is less significant. The first black dial called the ‘6265 Oyster Priest’ like this is simple and beautiful.

Maybe it’s charm is the opposite with something like a PN. The simplicity will stand out or to put it another way a ‘certain purity’ comes from the stainless bezel.

 

Similarly, does ‘6239 Proto-Graph’ have the same perfect simplicity? This so-called Double Swiss Daytona is said to be a prototype, and the Cosmograph font is totally different from the black ‘Le Mans’ Double Swiss dial. This is a non-Oyster and has an even simpler shape than Ref.6265.

However, Ref.6239 feels quite different from Ref.6265 and in this way quite interesting. That’s not to say which is better, but it still feels like there is a difference between the two. Ref.6239 is really delicate but it’s subtle design feels unique, and even though Ref.6265 is simple there’s no denying it is a Daytona.
