Christie's Geneva

So, it’s Christie Geneva soon, and the list is really interesting. Out of all perhaps some attention should be given to the 18 karat pure gold Ref. 6241 Paul Newman. Since it’s luminescence is also pretty likely to attract bidding. The serial number is 1.9 and ideal.

Lot. 32
Rolex 6241 18K Paul Newman Dial
CASE NO. 1 '947' 328, CIRCA 1969
Estimate: CHF 200,000 - CHF 300,000

And in Ref. 6200 is also a Submariner. But I wonder what will happen as judging from the market value this estimate is being toned down. Since Ref. 6200 is a mirror dial from the 1950s, hardly any individual of these have a perfect gloss and are a part that is very difficult to judge.

Lot 103

ROLEX, OYSTER PERPETUAL Explorer dial
REF. 6200, CASE NO. 32 '145, CIRCA 1954

Estimate: CHF 100,000 - CHF 150,000

Then there is this. It looks like an ordinary Ref. 6239 Paul Newman but the dial at the beginning was in fact not completely luminous. It’s said that ordinarily prototype dials such as this are often produced without luminescence, so what will this fetch?

ROLEX 6239 Paul Newman dial without luminous dots

CASE NO. 1 '958' 591, CIRCA 1969

EstimateCHF 120,000 - CHF 180,000

And finally, it ’s Ref. 6263 UAE commonly referred to as Eagle. Of course, it ’s good that the pusher is MK2 but the serial number that comes with the case is 3.6. Now I understand.

LOT 180

ROLEX 6263 made for the UAE

CASE NO. 3 '655' 281, CIRCA 1974

EstimateCHF 180,000 - CHF 280,000
