There was once a shop on Kila Street in Aoyama (Kila-dori) called Super Bowl. It’s not certain whether it was there during the latter half the ‘70s or whether it opened during the ‘80s.

Ball and Closed were sold in the store and instantly burst onto the scene.
I also had a few of the stonewash bomber jackets and pedal pushers.

Wondering why were they so popular,
I go to investigate at the Tsutaya Bookstore.

So, while searching I discovered that Closed is still going, as a German brand. Yet at that time I thought it was an Italian brand, and almost French. It’s also another Francois Girbaud brand? I looked a bit more to make sure.

So, I eventually bought something.

The normal comfortable knitwear and the feel of the trouser tag are really close to the way they were back then. Their shape is also simple. Ordinary is best. I wonder how this brand is rated at the moment?
