“Ima-chan no ‘Jitsu ha … ’”.
The other day in Kansai I somehow managed to catch the late night program early than usual back at the hotel.
The next day’s meeting, I heard “the day after any shop appears on that program people will be queueing to get it” so starting checking on youtube and it’s pretty interesting.
‘Savannah’ went to a public bath (sento) to hear about delicious shops nearby from people bathing, caught a taxi wearing a shampoo hat with the knowledge of the taxi driver taking them to somewhere tasty, and not only was the place unknown but everything was delicious. Even most of the local Kansai humour was up to date (laugh)
Maybe most of them weren’t really serious but even still the level of research was amazing. There is a famous magazine in Kansai full of local information but this level of detail goes far beyond that.
I bought the book as soon as it came out. Its bound to be great use. The constant level of detail is also really interesting. (laugh)
Speaking of which when ‘Chidori’ (Japanese comedians) appear … they’re more interesting than any television programme.
