Taishū Shokudō ‘Sonoda’ Standing Bar

This shop only opened this Wednesday.
Maybe because the master’s other well-known shop is busy or because he’s preparing to open here, but it seems theres been a long queue here ever since it opened.
They’ve really hit the jackpot here.
IYou can enjoy some simple nibbles with either beer or Sour made from Kinmiya shōchū, which is hard to find in Kansai. The draft beer is Yebisu, and all beer glasses come in different shapes and sizes.
Potato salad is dangerously good. The flavour of the ‘menchi-katsu’ (deep-fried breaded minced meat) is also superb. The menu’s ingenious variety is reflected in the Mexican cucumber, or celery in Nam-Pla fish sauce. Each will be served by one of the kitchen staff. ‘Napolitan’ spaghetti is made from flat ‘hirauchi’ noodles which are also difficult to come by.
When things taste this good, it makes me also want to try the Khao-Man-Gai that’s on the menu.
Yes, this place is really good. For some reason theres a well-known comedian without their trade-mark glasses that comes and goes from the kitchen. Oh I see, the restaurant is their part-time job.
