The lightest trail running shoe from Hoka One One, the ‘Challenger ATR 2’. It was difficult to find them in my size for my own big feet, probably because the range of sizes is limited for this brand in Japan so ordered them as soon as they were found online.

As I tried to actually run in them, I found that while equipped with the ‘Hoka’ specific extra cushioned sole, the good shoes balance was nothing special but in a good way. I can run comfortably on any road surface without being slowed down, from gravel path to tarmac. No wonder so many runners are wearing them while racing.
