Plastics

An interesting book. It’s what you would call ‘a classic’, but interviews with current band members is interesting. The path of each member is covered.
Everyone’s cheeky and charming.
… and Taku Hachiro’s final words were also worth reading.

Theres also a live show at Blue Note on May 5.

The following comment was written about them playing live —

“Is there any other fans like me out there? The more I think about it, the more I love Plastics. I was a countryside high school student when I started collecting Plastics, with a cut-out series from Soen Magazine, and a recording by ‘Snakeman Show’. ‘Techno! Pikopiko! ‘80s!’. Everyone mistakes as being what makes Plastics so attractive, but they’re more profound than that. Surely this live performance makes clear their true importance”

One recording by ‘Snakeman Show’ on the same tape still remains —

“In the history of all Rock n’ Roll has there ever been a man more ridiculous? This miracle came to Earth from some distant galaxy. Is he human, monster, or alien? He keeps fighting now for justice night and day. His name is Snakeman!”
