Destroy
The first thing I bought from Seditionaries was this ‘Destroy’ gauze shirt. Obviously influenced by Sex Pistols, but anyway, I wanted to wear the same thing as Johnny Rotten. Living in Nagoya, I asked a friend of my sister to help and she bought it from ‘Red Fuji’ in Nagoya.
A Swastika pasted over an upside-down image of Christ, and a postage stamp featuring the Queen.
And DESTROY scrawled over the top.
I didn’t really understand what it meant, I wonder if it could have been illegal … any how, I wore it with pride.
In fact, I didn’t really understand how serious such things were wearing this in Europe and the US until much later on.

At that time there was a music magazine called ‘Jam’.
Stating “Mike Jaggar is wearing DESTROY!”
I was shocked. Since I thought Mick Jaggar’s generation was also the source of Punk’s anti-establishment! When I think about it now, “hmm, I guess that makes sense, I wear SEDS as well!”
