Piccolo

‘Piccolo Curry’ in the Umeda underground shopping mall, Osaka.
It is a chain restaurant but when I’ve eaten in other shops the taste was different from Umeda. Maybe because it was confusing but before long the curry that came out was more like the “special”, an especially thick curry.
Pickled Chinese cabbage garnish is a rare sight for curry. In the old days, there was a beautiful roll but now only normal sliced bread. When I ask for the salad set cucumber and shallots are added, swelling the garnish to a set of three.
Recently, Osaka curry has recently shoed how it has naturally evolved with spice often the main ingredient, in mixed curry, for example. Here though it’s extremely orthodox. Meat is firm of really high standard. I really want them to keep serving this curry here forever.
They’ve been selling instant curry too. This is pretty good as well, and available for mail order.
