Kajishika
The Fukuoka food stall map seems to have radically changed since ‘Keiji’ that kept watch over the main crossroads disappeared. Stands that were previously around the Keiji Shrine have now relocated along Watanabe street.
Speaking of which, the lady owner of one current food stall, ’Kajishika’, is selling novelty ‘kushiyaki’ (skewered meat and fish). For example, lettuce with cod roe and cheese, wrapped Hakata green onion, wrapped grapes, and so on. Of course being Fukuoka famed for its yakitori, there is also pork ribs. Other things on the menu also look really attractive, like fish croquette.
Because I just happened to be free this day I got a seat pretty much straight away, but it seems possible to also make a reservation. I also want to come for a drink and take my time.
