The Kappabashi shopping district is Japan’s premiere street for utensils, otherwise known as ‘Kappabashi’. ‘Hender Scheme’ opened their new store Sukima Kappabashi on June 8 in an area nearby.

With Sukima Kappabashi the brand’s base located in Tawaramachi, Taito-ku, it features a selection that goes beyond season and collection focusing on ‘Nume’ leather, and an enjoyable lineup different from ‘Sukima Ebisu’.

The main feature of the shop is a space dedicated to ‘Effect lab’, a personalized option service using an engraver inherited from Asakusa craftsman. Lettering (up to 15 alpha numeric characters and symbols), engraving (embossed, gold, or silver leaf), and size (small and large) can be chosen, with same-day order and delivery also possible. The stamping service is ¥2,000 (plus tax).

Exclusive ‘Caterpillar’ sandals and ‘pig shoulder’ bags in Nume leather are also on sale to commemorate the opening, along with A5 size notebooks (¥3,800) only available at the store.
