On Feb 11th, 1997, an unknown musician named Erykah Badu released the album “Baduizm”. It forever changed music. And it also forever changed my life. To this day, it is the album that I can continuously listen to on repeat, over and over. Little did I know back then in Feb 1997, that just one month later, in March 1997, I would sell my first Staple t-shirt to the Triple Five Soul boutique in Soho. One week later, I would sell my second order to Union on Prince Street. So in essence, Baduizm and my brand Staple are related siblings.
