Jonathan Anderson's MONCLER GENIUS 2021 Spring/Summer Collection has a seascape theme
Jonathan Anderson's "1 MONCLER JW ANDERSON" Spring/Summer 2021 collection has arrived, with the theme of this second season being "a nomadic voyage," featuring gender-fluid clothing in seascape colors.
The collection is inspired by fishermen sailing the seas, women making quilts with highly crafted techniques as they wait along the shores, and sunset pastels reflected on the water's surface. The collection includes a range of hoodies, field jackets, Bermuda shorts, and cargo pants with eyelets and triple-stitched details used to create sailing wear, as well as jersey t-shirts and sweatshirts with Jonathan Anderson's signature bright color-blocked hoods, pockets, and closure tabs. The outer material is made from Econyl®, a regenerated form of nylon derived from ocean and landfill waste.
The lineup gives an adventurous twist to MONCLER's advanced fabric features, with a t-shirt dress that casts a gradient of hues like a Northern Irish sunset and tops and culottes with complex quilting patterns based on vintage quilts.
Items are available at the official online store and at select Moncler boutiques in Japan. The first episode of its podcast series on Spotify and a selection of films on the "MUBI" VOD service will be released in line with the launch, letting you experience the world painted by Jonathan Anderson in this collection.
