Akira Kurosawa is one of the greatest filmmakers in the world. Like my favourite directors Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, I admire him. This movie was made in 1963 but I was completely drawn into the story. I never knew there were so many heroin addicts at that time. I realised how scary drugs are. This is a monochrome movie but there is one scene with colour and that production is excellent.
