Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (My first zombie movie)

In elementary school it was probably after the hit “The Exorcist”. there was a horror movie boom and special feature on hour movies on television, though I think the film itself was a boom, so went to ask my mother if I could go watch a horror movie.

At that time, the loosely-titled “Herald Demon” series featured films that shared similar titles and had been regularly screened. Needless to say, attaching the series name to titles had been unofficial and done in Japan without permission. The first chapter, “Flesh for Frankenstein” was X-rated and hard to watch so couldn’t go. The second film was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. I will write more about these later.

For now, the third in the series was “Let Sleeping Corpses Lie”, a zombie movie produced and staged in Manchester. My first experience of a zombie was with this film. It finally came out on DVD a few years ago and was able to watch in high quality. Even watching it now, it was interesting and the feeling of UK in the ‘70s was also good to see.

The opening is quite funny and music is pretty good too.
