I bought it back then and have been using it ever since! I was surprised at how roughly ear wax can be removed.
It seems nowadays your meant to remove ear wax for health reasons, but as you’d expect it’s better to keep them clean. There’s a twin pack with another one just to be on the safe side. Looking at reviews on Amazon, where they’re made has changed and someone has written they’re not as good as they were before, but, really? It doesn’t look as if it’s changed at all.​ ​
Since they’re delicately made I’m putting harder wearing ear picks in my business travel wash bag (lol).
