Zen-Zen
It’s written as ‘Zen-Zen’ and read altogether. Seems like it also turned up on ‘Kodoku No Gurume’ Season 2.
Following locals there that day who know, since there’s no way to communicated by phone, it seems they put in a request by letter in the morning post as an ingredient for fish soup (lol). It’s certainly delicious doing it like this. The Sanshō spice is insane, and a flavour I’ve never had before.
Everything else is hot but delicious.
Because they sell their original rāyu chili, I naturally bought some. I put it on the mābōnasu (eggplant in spicy meat sauce) made at home but the flavour suddenly became distinct. I want this ready without running out of stock. Which means I really have to go to Koiwa on a regular basis.
