As soon as I decided to read the original to get rid of that I found the cause. The world of 12 years later in the film was added later. In short, the latter day part where Shun Oguri and Keiko Kitagawa appear is not in the original. Indeed, I wonder if it felt awkward having something unnecessary like that.
I’ve already downloaded with Kindle. Guess I’ll read on the plane on the way home and really looking forward to getting stuck in.
