Japanese curry is curry-of-the-day combined with beans. Different from mixed curry, real pleasure comes from matching up the ‘mixed’ part while eating but the curry-of-the-day is way too delicious. Next time I’m just going for that.
I like unique Osaka curry, and there’s been quite a few occasions I’ve thought of having anything for lunch like curry in Osaka, but recently something categorized as ‘Osaka spice curry’ has begun and feels a bit too much like the worldwide craze for ramen in different places.
It’s fine saying Osaka spice curry is tasty. The endless talk of how different the taste is irrelevant.
