Advance reviews were good, but the secret when watching films by Night Shyamalan is to watch ‘without expectation’.
And it was fun became I didn’t, but did it end up this way … ?
And the female lead had a really impressive look and felt familiar somehow, but now I think of it she reminds me of the girl from​ ​Morgan.

It’s fashionable in Hollywood recently to express the world of American comic book heroes with realism, and in that respect it seemed to come to an end with ‘Man of Steel’ by way of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ (but to some extent returns to a more conventional style thereafter with ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’), which reminds me, Night Shyamalan had a unique take on this quite a while ago.
Wonder if this style will continue.
