The butcher that specializes in poultry becomes a drinking bar, set up at night only twice a week. Such an interesting place can not be overlooked.
You are given a ticket which you show when ordering, and pay later on altogether.
Deep fried karaage from what is only a chicken meat shop is perfect. The taste is not worse than any of the three best (Kajiwara-approved) karaage places in Japan. The tender thigh meat is sweet and crisp. Since karaage is on sale I thought this was what they would use but actually it’s not. Obviously (laugh) But what is this seasoning? I really love it.
As you’d expect, yakitori is also tasty. On this particular day there was chicken curry. I’ve no choice but to check it out. This is perfect home-made curry. I guess it uses a rich chicken stock.
Apparently it is often full by 6pm so best go early.
