This year was ‘Kalpasi', the shop everyone’s talking about. On this particular day oden things begin with a wallop as oden make an appearance with Japanese food. The oden is spicy and delicious. When it comes to weak points I’m not that good with myoga, although it’s really nice to see as a starter.
Japanese style curry is packed with ingredients. The beef with wasabi was just like white miso buri curry, and was superb. Rasam was made with plum and equally delicious, and the dessert had a dusting of shoyu.I thought the taste might have a hint of a taste of cheese to it, but I’m not so sure.
It’s not just that it seemed strange. Why it’s so delicious?

But the layer of Tokyo-ness is a bit too heavy. Let’s hope Tokyo has a rich variety of curry.
